CMAS monitoring Apnea Level 1 to 3

World Confederation of Underwater Activities

The World Federation of Underwater Activities was founded in 1959 and now comprises more than 130 federations of the 5 continents. In addition to organizing international underwater sports events, it is at the forefront of research and technical and scientific development. The federation can be associated with the development of one of the oldest and most extensive diving training systems.

The different levels of sports apnea monitors:

CMAS Level 1 Monitor

CMAS Monitor/Instructor Card

A Level 1 apnea monitor is an experienced free who completed the course CMAS Apnea monitor Level 3 or 4.

It must be certified in first aid and CPR.

Otherwise, it remains inactive until it has sent the certification documents to the CMAS for approval.

Performance

  • Static Apnea (STA): 3:00 min;
  • Dynamic Apnea (DYN): 75 m;
  • Constant Weight (CWT): 30 m;
  • Variable weight: 30 m;
  • Free Immersion (FIM): 30 m.

CMAS Level 2 Monitor

# A Level 2 apnea monitor is an experienced free, apnea monitor level 1 CMAS active and that:

  • is certified in first aid and CPR;
  • Completed at least five (5) Apnea courses at levels 1 and 2;
  • Completed the certification procedures for at least 40 students.

# The Monitor sends all certification documents to the CMAS for evaluation.

After approval, it is certified Level 2 Apnea monitor.

  • Dynamic Apnea (DYN): 75 m;
  • Constant Weight (CWT): 30 m;
  • Variable weight: 30 m;
  • Free Immersion (FIM): 30 m.

CMAS Level 3 Monitor

# A Level 3 apnea monitor is an experienced free, certified apnea monitor Level 2 CMAS, which is active and which:

  • is certified in first aid and CPR;
  • Completed the certification procedures of at least 100 pupils, coming from all levels preceding the apnea monitor level 3 CMAS;
  • Has passed the course requirements CMAS monitor level 3 apnea.

# The Monitor sends all certification documents to the CMAS for evaluation.

After approval, it is certified Level 3 Apnea monitor.

  • Dynamic Apnea (DYN): 75 m;
  • Constant Weight (CWT): 30 m;
  • Variable weight: 30 m;
